A Penny A Sketch Puppet Show and Crafting

Katie Gilray

A Penny A Sketch will kick things off with a lively 15-minute marionette performance, perfect for families, that explores themes of community and connection. After the show, it’s time to get crafty! Participants will create their very own marionettes using toilet paper rolls, which make great lightweight puppet bodies. With a variety of fun materials like googly eyes, feathers, pipe cleaners, sparkles, and popsicle sticks, everyone can add their personal touch and bring their puppet to life. Once completed, participants are encouraged to showcase their puppets, either individually, in small groups, or in front of the whole group if they feel comfortable. This workshop encourages creativity, collaboration, and hands-on learning for all ages!
